Did you hear? ABC News has promoted World News Now anchor Rob Nelson to the role of daytime correspondent . . .
. . . replacing him with more conservative snore, John Muller. Reporter John Muller is cool, but he is no Rob Nelson in the news & entertainment department.
But maybe that’s the point.
Maybe that’s why Rob Nelson’s promotion feels more like a demotion. A bribe. Let’s pay this “loose cannon” a higher salary, call it a promotion, and get this craziness—that these deranged insomniacs love—off the air.
Ironically, Rob Nelson’s promotion means we fans have no way of knowing exactly when we will see the handsome, multi-talented reporter at work or at play again—unless we watch for him to “correspond on all platforms and programs” ABC has to offer. Naww, can’t do it. Won’t do it. The thought of digesting the twisted conservative view on important issues for extended lengths of time makes me queasy.
For nearly three years as co-anchor of World News Now and America This Morning, thanks for the good times, Rob! Your fans, who appreciate all aspects of you, will truly miss you!
Maybe you can finally get some sleep. And with Mr. Reliably Routine as your replacement (as if anyone ever could), your fans, perhaps for the first time in years, will get some too. Damn!
P.S. Tell the World News Now camera man to quiet down—or he’s next . . . to be “promoted.”
I miss seeing yr smile, I hope all good things come to u. God bless
